    ATI is providing industrial hygiene and environmental services to the US Department of State (DOS) at embassies and consulates worldwide. Under previous DOS contracts with ATI’s Global Division and our own current contract, ATI has provided services in more than 160 countries on over 500 tasks since the mid-1990s. The high quality of ATI's performance has resulted in having twice received the U.S. Department of State Assistant Secretary's Award for Excellence
    Asbestos is the primary focus of ATI's support. To date, ATI has addressed asbestos issues through surveys, re-inspections, and abatement oversight of more than 4,000 buildings in approximately 200 embassies and consulates in 160 countries. Building types include office buildings, support facilities, residences, and short-term rental properties. ATI provides oversight of asbestos and mold abatement projects (more than 150 to date), including air monitoring and project oversight to ensure compliance with federal regulations, host country regulations, and project specifications.
    ATI has conducted Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments in South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa to support potential acquisitions of new embassy compounds and individual buildings. The following are examples:
    ATI conducts four training sessions annually. Sessions are held in locations throughout the world as well as in Rosslyn, Virginia. Each session is attended by 30 to 40 facility managers and related personnel from embassies and consulates in the region. Topics include asbestos and other hazardous materials recognition and management, as well as various environmental issues. AHERA Inspector certification training is provided.
