ATI, as prime A/E, managed a team of consultants and performed the following work as task assignments under an ID/IQ contract (B-1470-06/HAE-1909) with the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC). The scope of work involved renovation design of HABC owned multi-family housing units to achieve ADA compliance in accordance with a HUD consent decree. Following are some of the representative tasks completed by ATI:
Residual Apartment Accessibility Renovation Design: ATI provided renovation design for selected project apartment units and associated exterior site components for compliance with federal accessibility standards. Work performed to date involves renovation design of a total of 32 units spread among 9 different sites throughout Baltimore City.
Renovation of 813 & 817 Abbott Ct and 807 & 811 Webb Ct.: Design 2 wheelchair compliant housing units consistent with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), the American with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG), and American National Standards – ICC/ANSI A117.1-1998.
Feasibility Study, Renovation of Harriett Beecher Stowe PS #118: ATI conducted a feasibility study to determine the requirements to renovate the historic Harriett Beecher Stowe PS #118 Building to make it habitable and meet current code requirements.
Evaluation of Distressed Units Scattered Throughout Baltimore City: This project involved Building Audits/Evaluation and Condition Assessments of 194 units to determine if they meet distressed unit criteria as defined under paragraph ‘(f)’ in page 44 of the Funding Application Guidelines.
