ATI ROLE : Prime Contractor

ATI is providing records and database management support on the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). FUSRAP was initiated in 1974 to identify, investigate and clean up or control sites throughout the United States that had become contaminated with low-level radioactive material from the nation’s early atomic weapons and energy programs. FUSRAP has generated thousands of electronic and paper records (such as reports, sampling data, correspondence, regulatory decision documents, etc.) that are kept in USACE District offices across the country.
ATI visits each District to collect and sort the records, which are then scanned, quality-checked, labeled in a consistent format, and returned to the Districts. We also are developing and populating a password protected web-based database and document management system for these FUSRAP records to allow access to them by USACE and other authorized users and to maintain the records for future use.
