Overview of the project

ATI, Inc. has had an ongoing IDIQ contract since April 2012, which was renewed in 2018 conducting Environmental Engineering, Hazardous Materials and Industrial Hygiene services for the Department of Energy (DOE) at their headquarters facility in Washington, DC and at their Germantown, Maryland location. This 3-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) contract was awarded to ATI in 2017 and is a continuation of the previous $750,000 contract that began in 2012. The accumulated experience from both contracts includes, but is not limited to, indoor air quality investigations and testing, asbestos air monitoring, lead-based paint testing and risk assessment services, CPR/First Aid training to DOE employees, silica dust sampling, total dust sampling, and respirable dust sampling and food sanitation inspections.

Result / Impact

DOE's buildings are pre-1979 construction and contain a variety of hazardous materials that require testing, abatement, and industrial hygiene monitoring. ATI’s services promote safe, healthy, comfortable work environments for Government employees and personnel.
