Overview of the project
ATI is providing industrial hygiene and environmental services to the US Department of State (DOS) at posts worldwide. ATI has provided these services in more than 160 countries on over 500 tasks. We have performed these services in more than 4,000 buildings, including embassies, consulate buildings, support facilities, residences, and short-term rental properties. Other services provided on or DOS include environmental site assessments, indoor air quality assessments, and occupational health and safety training. ATI also conducts four training sessions annually for DOS facility management personnel per year (approximately 50 facility managers and related personnel from embassies and consulates per session), in the United States and in overseas locations by operational region. Topics include asbestos and other hazardous materials recognition and management, as well as various environmental issues. AHERA Inspector certification training is provided.
Result / Impact
ATI’s services under this contract allow renovation and remediation projects at US Embassies worldwide to be completed while ensuring hazardous materials are controlled and human health is protected. Lead, asbestos and other HAZMAT data collected by our team is constantly updated in a database of all known hazardous materials at embassy owned/leased properties, allowing facility maintenance staff to make safe and informed decisions when working in these areas.
