Overview of the project

ATI, as managing partner of ACT Services JV, provides project management, engineering, scheduling, and quality assurance in the $5B rebuild of Tyndall AFB following damage caused by Hurricane Michael. The scope requires engineering, scheduling, and construction management services for the demolition, renovation and/or new construction of virtually every structure on base .

ACT’s management of Zones 1 through 12 and Scheduling tasks directly impacts the success of all other zones of reconstruction, which depend on new infrastructure being completed correctly and efficiently.

Result / Impact

The disaster recovery lessons learned are not unique to Tyndall AFB and have required consideration of additional factors that are relevant to the needs of other worldwide clients. These include planning for post-natural disaster market conditions (labor, housing, material availability, etc.); providing enhanced climate resilient structures (wind, flood, etc.); ensuring sustainability; providing cybersecurity for facility-related control systems; and utilizing smart facility and installation technologies.
